Zach’s collection of 2,400+ movies is a sight to behold.

Marketing Strategist Zach Wallace, better known as MARKETRON, is not just our December employee of the month. He’s also our resident movie master. He’s spent more nearly 10,000 hours of his life watching movies and has a collection of 2,400 movies at his house. He knows all and sees all when it comes to film.

Zach the Marketing Magic Man

As GetUWired’s marketing strategist, Zach is in charge of “a million different things.” He handles social media management and implementation, video editing, marketing strategy, SEO and keyword research, minor graphic design, ad implementation and tracking, and lots, lots more.

His movie taste is “everything.”

“I can go to a horror movie festival and fit right in and then go outside and see a group of teen girls and start talking about all the Step Up movies and how Step Up: All In made great use of all the characters from the previous 4 by bringing them all back and wrapping up their stories,” Zach says.

So in the spirit of giving, it’s the holidays, after all, here are Zach’s top 5, time-tested, mother-approved movie recommendations that you have to see in 2019 if you haven’t already.

Kick-Ass (2010)

Ordinary teenager Dave Lizewski sets out to become a real-life superhero named “Kick-Ass.” Dave gets caught up in a more dangerous fight when he meets Big Daddy, a former cop who has trained his 11-year-old daughter to be the ruthless vigilante Hit-Gir to catch crime boss Frank D’Amico and his son Red Mist.

This slasher film was directed by Wes Craven and stars David Arquette, Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, Matthew Lillard, Rose McGowan, Skeet Ulrich, and Drew Barrymore. Sidney Prescott, a high school student, becomes the target of the mysterious killer Ghostface. Scream was unique for its time because its characters were aware of real world horror films and chose their own actions based on trying to avoid horror movie clichés.
